Fabrication of support brackets for submersible agitators on a 400m3/hr gas-to-grid renewable natural gas (RNG) biogas plant

As part of degritting and replacement of the AD tank gas membranes, the submersible mixers/ agitators were also to be maintained or replaced. Prior to fitting the new units, the technology provider for the plant determined that the brackets that support the mixers were corroded and unable to support the new mixers for install. As a result new plates were required on 2-week lead in time from the OEM – significantly delaying the remaining works.

On a 48 hour turnaround, ADAM were able to have two new sets of brackets fabricated, couriered to site and fitted before the membrane was re-installed on the tank. As a result there was no delay to the completion of the membrane and closing up of the tank for refilling.
